🇮🇩 In April 1815, Mount Tambora in Indonesia unleashed one of the most powerful volcanic eruptions in recorded history, reaching VEI 7 on the eight-level Volcanic Explosivity Index.

The eruption had devastating consequences and contributed to global climatic disruption in 1816, known as the Year Without a Summer.
